My Research topic for this year will be discussing cultural identity as a Chinese-descendant in Malaysia and how does this discussion relates internationally (why people tend to classify races as a social scale? Focusing on races)
Here are some keywords speculating my statement/question:
-Not just defined by an ethnic group or culture with which you identify. Cultural identity also consists of racial, religious, class, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status, and familial identities, for instance. Additionally, national, social and personal identity also contribute to one's cultural identity. Each person has multiple identities that intersect and shape their view of the world.
-Race, ethnicity and nationality are examples of core cultural identities.
How do I present my research into my final body of work? The method of creating
-Focusing on lines (gives dynamic and contrast to my feelings on the political and social issue)
