Research on Race and Ethnic: Sociology

My question on my third-year project "How by illustrating 3 different version of Cinderella story shows the similarity of my personal experience in diversity?" keeps my head spinning, how should I convey this problem into words and in my art.

While streaming the internet, I started to search for my actual theory, is my work talking about cultural identity or its a whole other thing. These two videos talk about the definition of race and ethnicity and discrimination in society.
The content shows some similarity in what I wanted to present to my audience.

Race and Ethnicity (Sociology)

* Unlike race, which is based on observation, physical traits, ethnicities arents. And in fact, two people of the same ethnicity can be entirely differenced races.
*The differences between races and ethnicity in another society will trigger disagreement between the majority in that certain society.
-Prejudice
-Stereotypy
-Racism

Here's a statement that I totally agree with,
Culture Theory: Some prejudice can be found in everyone because people are products of the culture they live in and we live in a prejudiced culture.
Another theory is Race conflict theory: A point of view that focuses on inequality and conflict between people of different racial and ethnic categories.

A Ted Talk by an 18-year-old Chinese American name Canwen Xu in I am not your Asian stereotype really tells what I am feeling living as a mixed culture in either Malaysia and New Zealand. Since young, she has been living in America, while living there she found only two ways to survive in a totally different society one joining the norm, being a part of them and then another, stick to who you are. But of course, society is not as friendly as it seems to be.

Reflecting on me:
Quan: Chinese Malaysian currently living in New Zealand.
Should I conform myself to the norms that surround me or to the natural self?
No people should understand and try to accept. Humans are all the same but are judged by our difference especially in appearance.
