Is it meaningful, does it give inpact to the society. It has long been blurred from how you produce it (Medium).
Art is all about money, we live in a commodity drive society. People buying art not for the sake of loving it, it is more into the branding and the status.
PROVING HOW RICH THEY ARE.
This thought is similar to other markets as well. people are hungry for the status. showing how rich they are by using lets say apparel or care to prove and one of them is art.
commissioning art, last until the future. 19th century of art was beautiful then 20th century became abstract.
contemporary art became popular, ART BECAME A TREND.
ARTIST
Perspective on art by artist.
artist seek for validation. art school became a trophy for artist. art is suppose to be critical but now is a commodity. [Damien Hirst artist] he critique about the art.
Julian schnabel famous artist. (just a reminder to look into him, admire his success.)
Marina Abrovanic: making herself as a celebrity.
Jeff koon: (The famous ballon dog) Expensive artist that creates beautiful things. It became a status for a particular art but there is no deeper meaning for it.
DEALER
Make a living for the artist then for the gallery stuff. The dealer is important, complete control of the price. they make sure others doeskin know about the origin of the price. Artist wanted others to look as an exhibition. primary dealer is caution of where the art is located at. Very secretive on the value of the actual value. artist has experience the fluctuation of value in the art market, it is possible that your art was sold for a million dollar then the second day became no value.
For me, I need to know more about new Zealand art and artist. Along with Malaysian as well.
COLLECTOR (most important to target)
Simple for the love of the art, no income value was thought. buyers are people who has many money that doesn't know how to deal with it.
MUSEUM
art that has been exhibited in a well known museum/gallery increases the value of art and the artist. Museum earn primary not from entry fees, its through the donor. A new generation of welthy people follow with their predecessor in donating for the next generation
AUCTION HOUSE
cleanly value art, because of the created atmosphere that urged people to buy.

How an art gallery is able to be open in many location? Feeding the institute with art work.
VICTIMLESS CRIME
corruption is among the rich people. Can we create a market that is able to promote more artist ? This is business for the rich people, so is there anyone who's being harm. *does the art world needed regulation?
Price bubble appears too in the art market, like stock market.
