Studio/ Research: BVA 316 - 17/08/2019 (Kathryn's Review on One-on-One session)

Review from Kathryn:

This piece stands out the most among the two. Kathryn chose this because it has more elements that represents Cinderella. Theres a strong story telling elements going on as well, because the situation is presented obviously.

Cinderella is depicted sitting on the floor, and her only friends are the mice on the floor.

** There an important state Kathryn Has mentioned about, This scene can relate to my own. How is it similar? The figure (reflecting myself) is feeling down cause of the cultural experience that I have been through in Malaysia and New Zealand

** Since I am talking about NZ, I should add elements that represent NZ rather than using European figures (Like Mice, fairy and Broom) to represent NZ) Kathryn recommended things that I use daily.

 - Initially I wanted to mix New Zealand's elements more but what I know is that using symbolic logos in the Maori culture is very controversial for a non-maori to use it. [Better not risking it]

Sketch 2
The second part of the "One-on-Ones" is about my essay.
- There are many things that I should narrow it down, not too much explanation. This is where precise is important. (Remember that) [Need to draft the whole essay by next week, so I will have the time to run through with Kathryn, hope to get a better score out of it. ]
