Amy Tan, Bicultural, Cultural expression of an identity etc etc. All of these research is my desire to express myself born and rise as a Chinese Malaysian. What makes me Chinese Malaysian and what's so different between Chinese from China and Chinese who was born in Southeast Asia, for me its from Malaysia.

**How localization helps an individual to expression their cultural identity today in the 21st century?
Modern art helps us to understand not only the artist but also our self.
Example of art works:
1) Self-Portrait with Cropped Hair by Frida Kahlo. [I paint my own reality by merging Mexican folk art and surrealism] Its a reflecting of her life all painted in her painting.
2) Runaways (1993) by Glenn Ligon. He instructed 10 of his friends to describe his physical appearance if he had gone missing. He places those written description and paste it under the 19th century images of slaves. proves that the thought of slavary is in the society but chose to forget about it.
3) Gold Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol
- Many people wanted to paint the real story of Marilyn. **Proves that its not what you want that counts, its what they think you are.
* Warhol silkscreen Marilyn's portrait and produce a reproduction of that work.
Its all about how people see you.
How fashion shows cultural identity.
How would the views of your elders differ from you own? Would they support you wearing this?
