Studio/Research: BVA316/ BVA 303 - 11/10/2019 (Mix Media or Collage)
Which medium direct my work more??
Mix Media or Collage?
I am mixing my work with traditional and contemporary elements. Traditional is using water colour, pen and paper. This is to emphasized on the elemnets that I wish to specify. Scene 1: Figures, invitation to the ball, mouse. Scene 2: figures, pumpkin car, mouse. Scene 3: figure, cinderella slippers, mouse.
Mix Media:

The use of mixed media began around 1912 with the cubist collages and constructions of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, and has become widespread as artists developed increasingly open attitudes to the media of art. Essentially art can be made of anything or any combination of things.

Collage:

Collage describes both the technique and the resulting work of art in which pieces of paper, photographs, fabric and other ephemera are arranged and stuck down onto a supporting surface.

** Both of this method seems to match with what I intent to reach for. Mix media is the medium aspect, using more than one medium, Collage is an art term, mixing and matching different elements to create a new one.
